Fate Wonder LLC operates Dr. Saadat's private executive/leadership coaching practice.
Business name: Fate Wonder LLC Brand/site: drsaadatcoaching.com Contact (privacy): saadatbg@gmail.com Contact (general): saadatbg@gmail.com
For purposes of privacy laws, Fate Wonder is the "business" under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA) and the "data controller" under the GDPR for data we collect via the Site.
Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to information collected via the Site, including:
• Information you submit through our contact form • Information you provide when scheduling through our embedded Calendly link/widget • Basic technical information sent by your browser/device when you visit the Site
This Policy does not cover third-party sites or services that may be linked from or embedded in our Site (such as Calendly or Google Fonts). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Information We Collect
We collect information in three main ways: (1) information you provide, (2) information collected automatically, and (3) information from third parties (limited).
- Contact form data: name, work email, company, area of interest, and message content.
- Scheduling data (Calendly): name, email, and any information you choose to provide when booking (for example, meeting preferences).
- Communications: emails you send us and our replies.
- Technical data: IP address, device type, browser type, approximate location (city/region), referral URLs, and date/time of access. This is typically collected in server logs and is used for security and site operations.
Sensitive Information and Health Data
We do not request medical information and do not intend to collect "sensitive" personal data through the Site.
Please do not submit medical, mental health, or other sensitive information via the contact form or in booking notes. If you choose to share such information, you do so at your discretion, and we will handle it consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
Important: Coaching is not medical care or therapy, and information you share with us is not protected by HIPAA unless a separate written agreement explicitly states otherwise.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate the Site and to communicate with you about coaching.
- Respond to inquiries and messages.
- Schedule and conduct a discovery call or coaching-related communications.
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Site (including troubleshooting, security, and performance).
- Maintain business records and internal administration.
- Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR Notice)
If you are located in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, our legal bases for processing personal data may include:
• Contract / pre-contract steps: to respond to your request and schedule a call. • Legitimate interests: to operate and secure the Site, communicate with prospective clients, and improve our services. • Consent: where required by law (for example, certain optional analytics or marketing communications if we add them in the future). • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws and lawful requests.
Cookies, Fonts, and Similar Technologies
We do not intentionally set cookies for advertising, and we do not currently run analytics on the Site.
However, embedded or third-party services may set cookies or use similar technologies. For example:
• Calendly: may set cookies or collect device/usage information to provide scheduling functionality. • Google Fonts: may be served in a way that involves requests to Google's servers, which can reveal IP address and related technical data.
If we add basic analytics in the future (for example, privacy-focused traffic measurement), we will update this Policy and, where required, provide appropriate notices/choices.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed for business operations and legal compliance.
- Service providers: vendors that help us operate the Site and communications (for example, website hosting, email, Calendly). They may process data on our behalf under appropriate contractual protections.
- Legal and safety: to comply with law, subpoenas, court orders, or lawful requests; to protect rights, safety, and security; or to prevent fraud or abuse.
- Business transfers: if we undergo a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction (subject to standard confidentiality protections).
Calendly and Third-Party Scheduling
Scheduling for discovery calls is provided through Calendly (a third-party). When you book, Calendly may collect and process your information under its own privacy policy.
We receive the booking details needed to arrange and conduct the call. If you prefer not to use Calendly, email us at saadatbg@gmail.com and we can coordinate scheduling by email when feasible.
BetterUp Relationship (Separate Services)
Dr. Saadat also coaches through BetterUp separately. BetterUp is not operated by Fate Wonder, and this Policy does not cover BetterUp's platforms or data handling.
If you engage Dr. Saadat through BetterUp, your relationship, scheduling, communications, and data processing are governed by BetterUp's terms and privacy notices.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to respond to you, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.
Retention periods vary depending on the type of data and why we collected it. For example, inquiry emails may be retained for a period of time to manage follow-ups and business records. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information longer where permitted.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, and you use the Site at your own risk.
If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, you suspect your email has been compromised), contact us at saadatbg@gmail.com.
Confidentiality of Coaching Communications
We treat coaching conversations and related communications as confidential and do not share them with others except with your consent or as described below.
Confidentiality may be limited where we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or address serious safety concerns (for example, imminent risk of harm to self or others).
Note: Executive coaching confidentiality is not the same as medical or psychotherapy privilege, and communications may not be legally privileged.
Children's Privacy
The Site and services are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us at saadatbg@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Your Privacy Rights (California CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to: (1) know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share; (2) request deletion; (3) request correction; (4) opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (as those terms are defined by law); and (5) not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To make a request, email saadatbg@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Authorized agents: You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may require proof of authorization and may also ask you to verify your identity directly.
Notice of financial incentives: We do not offer financial incentives tied to the collection or use of personal information.
Your Rights (EEA/UK/Switzerland GDPR-Style Notice)
If you are located in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, you may have rights to: access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, and data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise these rights, contact saadatbg@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
International Visitors and Cross-Border Transfers
We are based in the United States, and information we collect may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no universally accepted standard for how to respond, we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" above indicates when it was last updated.
If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy on this page.
